South-western edge of the Green

The south-western edge of the Green, and, in the distance, the footpath crossing a field up the valley side.

Cross the very busy main road, which skirts the edge of the village, and take the footpath under the equally busy railway. Follow it through a field of scrub, diagonally up the valley side and into the trees. Turn left along the ridge, along the private road, beyond the fringe of woods.
