DEBORAH STRATFORD was born on the 13th June 1813 in Chinnor and was baptised there on the 4th July. She married WILLIAM GOODEARL on 29th January 1834 at Bradenham and died in High Wycombe on 2nd July 1890.


Bledlow

Deborah’s parents were EDWARD STRATFORD and ELIZABETH LEE.

Edward Stratford was baptized on the 29th December 1782 at Chinnor, son of THOMAS STRATFORD and JANE COX He married Elizabeth Lee on the 7th April 1806 at Saunderton and was then living in Aston Rowant. He was buried at Bradenham on the 24th August 1859 after living at Saunderton Workhouse.

Thomas Stratford’s parents were WILLIAM STRATFORD and SARAH (BUNCE?) He was born on Christmas Day 1743 and baptized at Aylesbury on 15 Jan 1744. He married Jane Cox on 28 May 1765 at Chinnor. A William Stratford was born on the 4th February and baptized on the 9th February 1706 at Aylesbury, son of William Stratford. A Sarah Bunce was baptized on the 30th October 1709 at Wendover, daughter of Michael Bunce.

Jane Cox’s parents were JOSEPH COX and ELIZABETH SMITH who were married at Chinnor on the 20th July 1741. She was baptized on the 3rd May 1746 at Chinnor and died on the 1st February and was buried on the 3rd February 1828 at Chinnor.

Elizabeth Lee’s parents were JOHN LEE and DEBORAH HAWS of Princes Risborough who were married on th 8th July 1779 at Saunderton. She was baptized on the 23rd December 1781 at Saunderton and was buried at Bradenham on the 22nd February 1862 after living at Saunderton Workhouse.


Saunderton Church

John Lee’s parents were JOHN LEE and ELIZABETH WINFIELD who were married on the 3rd February 1755 at Saunderton. He was baptized on the 14th May 1758 at Saunderton and was buried at Bradenham on the 2nd January 1844.

Deborah Haws was born in about 1754 and was buried at Bradenham on the 27th March 1839.

John Lee (senior)’s parents were WILLIAM LEE and MARY BEDALL who were married on the 17th October 1725 at Princes Risborough. He was baptized on the 17th December 1737 at Saunderton.

William Lee’s parents were THOMAS LEE and SARAH BLACKWELL who were married on the 1st March 1693 at Bledlow. He was baptized on the 12th March 1704 at Saunderton.

Sarah Blackwell was possibly the daughter of Richard Blackwell and Mary Dorrell who married on the 28th January 1667 at Bradenham. Sarah was probably a distant relative of Mary Blackwell, Deborah’s mother-in-law.

Mary Bedall’s father was WILLIAM BEDALL and she was baptized on the 28th December 1702 at Princes Risborough. William’s parents were WILLIAM BEDALL (senior) and JOHANNE WINCH who were married on the 8th May 1671 at Princes Risborough. He was baptized on the 25th Dec 1672 at Princes Risborough.
(A William Bedall, believed to have been born in 1584, was buried on the 27th November 1623 at Princes Risborough.
